'But don't let him fool you. It may be justice delayed, but it's still justice.'
Chun made his remarks during closing arguments in the Los Angeles Superior Court trial of Mercado, who was a fugitive when seven one-time cohorts of the gang's Van Nuys clique were tried, convicted and sentenced to no-parole life prison terms in June 1999.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Mercado."
